We had assumed that taking the train to Hyéres would give good connections on to St Tropez, but the stop that bus line 7801 calls at is located at the opposite side of the town centre to the station

Despite there being up to 18 trains per day from Marseille to Hyères - avoid turning up at Marseille St Charles station in the expectation of hopping on a train.
