Also instead of the German IC trains, two of the morning departures are by EC trains - and because they're heading to Switzerland, Swiss trains are used on these departures.
Reservations aren't compulsory* on these express trains and virtually anyone heading to Bremen from Hamburg won't bother for such a comparatively short journey.
However as a result these trains can be prone to overcrowding - particularly during afternoons/evenings on Friday - Sunday.
