The IC trains also call at: Haarlem

The train service between Amsterdam Centraal and Leiden is divided between InterCity and Sprinter trains.

The InterCity trains (heading to Den Haag Centraal or Vlissingen) call at fewer stations than the Sprinter trains, but now take a longer route via Haarlem.

The Sprinter trains (also heading to  Den Haag Centraal) call at more stations, but take the more direct route via Schiphol, so are only 4 mins slower.

Like most train journeys within The Netherlands, this journey between Amsterdam and Leiden should be blissfully straightforward.

If you'll be visiting The Netherlands, simply head to the station whenever it suits you, buy a ticket and step on to the train.
