When looking at the departure screens ignore the Sprinter trains that will be terminating at Hoorn.
They will stand out because Hoorn is their final destination, but they travel a roundabout route, so are more than an hour slower than the InterCity (IC) trains.
Like most train journeys within The Netherlands, this journey between Amsterdam and Hoorn should be blissfully straightforward.
