Though rail pass reservations can be hard to track down on these direct trains, Oui.SNCF will usually offer Eurail and InterRail pass users seats on trains, which involve travelling via Paris.

Therefore the cheapest tickets also become more flexible too. In addition to these trains to Nimes station, there are now also trains from Lille to the new Nimes Pont Du Gard station - they depart from Lille Europe AT 16:02 on Thursday, Friday and Sunda

Aside from the detour to serve Lyon station, all but the first train of the day spend the entire journey between Lille and Nimes on a high speed line, but it is primarily the speed that gives this journey its wow factor.
