The only high speed trains between Amsterdam and Rotterdam are the Thalys trains, but tickets are NOT available for Amsterdam to Rotterdam journeys by Thalys trains.
It’s still worth paying the small supplement* to travel on the InterCity Direct trains for Amsterdam to Rotterdam journeys.
The high speed line is more direct than the route taken by other slower InterCity trains between the two cities - so these InterCity Direct* trains are more than 30 mins faster.
