Venezia / Venice / Venedig to Padova / Padua by train

How to take a train from Venice/Venezia to Padua/Padova

Beautiful Padova/Padua is the closest city to Venezia/Venice so it's an easy and short journey by train.
Though when making a spontaneous day trip, the Regionale/Regionale Veloce trains are the best option, you won't lose out financially by not booking in advance, so you can book at the station and hop on the next train to depart.

If you book ahead for the express trains, you'll have to commit to a specific departure in order to save money on the ticket price, but there is little point in doing so, when there are so many departures per day.
