The train service between Oslo and Lillehammer is split between Regional trains on line R10 of the Oslo commuter train network and Regiontog trains that will be making the journey between Oslo and Trondheim.

The Regiontog trains aren't faster, but seats can be reserved on those trains (reservations are not available on the Regional trains).

The Regiontog trains also convey 'Komfort' class (1st class), but the Regional trains don't.
