Bern and Chur are to be linked by a new route across northern Switzerland, which will provide easier rail connections between the Swiss capital and the spectacular routes of the Rhaetian Railway.
Two Regional Express routes in Switzerland are being merged when the new timetable commences on December 12th and as a result Bern will gain an hourly direct rail connection with Chur and Landquart.
As a result the Swiss capital will have easier connections to and from the spectacular network of routes operated by the Rhaetian Railway (Rhb).
Connections will be available in Landquart with trains to and from Davos and Klosters; and in Chur with trains to and from Arosa, St Moritz and Disentis/Muster.
The trains to and from Bern will also call at Olten, which enhances the town’s credentials as being an ideal base from which to explore Switzerland by train.
