A simple as can be connection is available into the MOB trains, which take the 'Golden Pass' route to Zweissimen via Gstaad.
The IR trains on route 90 commence their journeys at Geneve-Aeroport station - it takes the trains around 5 mins to travel from there to the main station in Geneve before they then head off towards Montreux.
Final Destination:
Brig (the IR trains)
Milano (the EC trains)
By far the most frequent service is by the IR trains, there are only 4 x EC trains per day; and those trains are less than 5 mins faster AND tend to be more expensive.
But for such a comparatively short journey it doesn't particularly matter which train you will travel by - the journey will be comfortable and beautiful regardless.
All trains also call at: Lausanne
Most trains also call at: Vevey
2 x IR trains per hour
4 x EC trains per day
Online bookings usually open: up to 60 month ahead of the travel date.
Book early and save: Yes, if you book Supersaver tickets
You may need to search through the departures to find these 'Supersaver' tickets using the ‘earlier’ and ‘later’ buttons.
Though due to this being a comparatively short journey, you may not make a particularly big saving with the Supersaver tickets and IF you book them, you will be committed to a specific departure.
Seat reservations are not available on the IR trains between Geneve and Montreux.

After Lausanne there are some great views over Lake Geneva, from the right of the train.
