Due to the network of high speed (LGV) railways in France these TGV trains take a route that's a long way from being a straight line, but despite travelling through the outskirts of Paris, this is still a much faster journey than it would be other wise.
Final Destination: Strasbourg
All trains also call at: Champagne-Ardenne TGV and Lorraine TGV
These trains to Strasbourg are usually scheduled to depart from Bruxelles-Midi/Brussel Zuid station daily at 07:17 and 18:17
Take these direct trains and you can avoid the need to make the transfer in Paris between the Gare Du Nord and Gare de l'Est stations.
Aim to be at Bruxelles Midi/Zuid station a minimum of 10 - 15 mins before your train is due to depart.
You will have to pass through security checks before boarding these trains and queues can build up at busy times.
2 x trains per day
Book early and save: Yes
Online bookings open: 3 months ahead of the travel date
When making an online booking, check that you’re looking at booking info for the direct trains - these trains are usually scheduled to depart daily at 07:17 and 18:17
Though you can usually save money if you avoid these direct trains and make connections in Paris.
This is also a journey on which it can be worthwhile comparing prices across the ticket agents.
