Valencia-Nord (Valencia)

The three advantages of using Valencia-Nord station are:

(1) It's closer to the city centre than Joaquin-Sorolla station - the area around the cathedral is a 15-20 min walk away.
It's located on the southern edge of the historic city centre, so we're not sure why it's called Valencia-Nord.

(2) It is directly linked to the Valencia Metro.

(3) It's a contender for Europe's most beautiful train station honours.

It's also an easy station to use as it's a terminus station.

If you need to make the transfer from Valencia-Nord to Joaquin-Sorolla station the easiest option is to use the free and frequent shuttle bus.
The shuttle bus doesn’t use public roads, so there’s no risk of getting stuck in traffic and the journey only takes 2 mins.

At Valencia Nord, it doesn’t depart from the front of the station, instead it stops to the side of the station at the end of via (platform/track) 6.
So the shuttle bus stop is a 3 – 5min walk away from the main concourse.

If you don’t want to take a taxi to Valencia Joaqin Sorolloa station, then an option is to take a bus or Metro* to Nord station and then transfer to the shuttle bus.
*The Metro station at Valenica-Nord station is named 'Xativa'.

To Valencia Cathedral from Valencia Nord:

Valencia’s public transport system doesn’t penetrate the old town, so the best option for accessing the area around the cathedral is to head off on foot.
It's around a 15min walk north of Valencia-Nord station, head off down the Avenue del Margués de Sotelo, which as you face away from the station is over to the left.

To the area around the central market:

Take bus line 7 from the street outside Nord station to the ‘Meercat Central’ stop.

To the City of Arts and Sciences:

For the City Of Arts And Sciences complex take Bus Line 15.
